اِسْمَحْ يُسْمَحْ لَكَ.

Be lenient to people, and they will be lenient to you.

عَلَيْكَ بِالرِّفْقِ، وَاِيَّاكَ وَالعُنْفَ وَالفُحْشَ.

Be moderate and avoid harshness and abuse.

أَحْبِبْ حَبيبَكَ هَوْنَاً مَا؛ عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ بَغِيْضَكَ يَوْمَاً مَا؛ وَأَبْغِضْ بَغِيْضَكَ هَوْنَاً مَا عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ حَبِيْبَكَ يَوْمَاً مَا.

Be moderate in friendship, lest your friend should turn out to a foe in future, and do the same in enmity, lest your foe should turn out to a friend in like manner.

أَجْمِلُوا فِي طَلَبِ الدُّنْيا؛ فَاِنَّ كُلاًَّ مُيَسَّرٌ لِمَا كُتِبَ لَهُ مِنْها.

Be moderate in seeking the (material) world, for everybody gains his (destined) share.

عَلَيْكَ بِالرِّفْقِ فَاِنَّ الرِّفْقَ لَمْ يَكُنْ في شَيْ‏ءٍ قَطُّ اِلاّ زَانَهُ؛ وَلا نُزِعَ مِنْ شَيْ‏ءٍ قَطُّ اِلاّ شَانَهُ

Follow moderateness in life, for everything gets beautified with it and debased without it.

اِنَّ اللَّهَ أَمَرَنِي بِمُدَارَاةِ النَّاسِ كَمَا أَمَرَنِي بِاِقَامَةِ الْفَرَائِضِ

God has commanded me to behave moderately with people, as he has commanded me to perform my obligations.

ما أحْسَنَ القَصْدَ في الغِنَى.ما أحْسَنَ القَصْدَ في الفَقْرِ.وَأحْسَنَ القَصْدَ في العِبَادَةِ.

How nice is it to be moderate in affluence, in poverty and in worshiping (God)!
